Gray Capital Enterprises LLC is a dynamic and growing real estate investment firm specializing in multifamily commercial real estate. We are seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Accounting to lead our accounting function, build and scale our team, and support our continued growth.

Position Overview:

The Head of Accounting will oversee all accounting operations, financial reporting, and tax compliance, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our financials. This role will manage a small accounting team, with a focus on expanding and structuring the department to scale efficiently as the business grows. The ideal candidate will have a CPA, extensive experience in commercial real estate accounting (preferably in multifamily), and proficiency in RealPage accounting software. This leadership position reports directly into the executive team.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and Scale the Accounting Function: Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. Build and develop an accounting team that can grow with the company.

Financial Reporting & Analysis: Manage financial statements, cash flow analysis, and internal reporting for executive leadership and investors.

RealPage Accounting Oversight: Leverage RealPage accounting software to streamline financial management and reporting processes.

Tax Compliance & Strategy: Work closely with external CPA firms to manage tax filings, ensure compliance, and develop tax strategies.

Process Improvement & Controls: Implement financial controls, improve processes, and introduce best practices to enhance operational efficiency.

Collaboration & Leadership: Act as a strategic partner to the executive team, providing insights to support financial decision-making and business growth.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• CPA required

• Minimum 7+ years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role

• Experience in commercial real estate accounting (multifamily preferred)

• Proficiency in RealPage accounting software strongly preferred

• Strong understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and real estate finance

• Proven ability to build and lead a high-performing accounting team

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
